Terms and Conditions

Orders

All orders must be submitted in writing via U.S. Mail or email. Verbal orders are not accepted. Once an order is scheduled for production, Claridge will issue an order acknowledgment. Customers are solely responsible for reviewing all quotes, orders, and acknowledgments to ensure accuracy. Orders will not be scheduled until all required information has been provided. A minimum order value of $25 is required.

Acknowledgments & Lead Times

Upon credit approval, orders will be manufactured and invoiced according to the details listed on the order acknowledgment. Customers are responsible for reporting any discrepancies in the acknowledgment within 48 hours of receipt. Shipment dates are subject to change and may differ from acknowledged dates if credit approval is delayed or if manufacturing issues arise. Orders placed on credit hold will be scheduled for shipment only after the hold has been lifted.

Acceptance of Product (Installation)

Installation of the product by the Customer constitutes acceptance of the product in its delivered condition, without exception.

Specification Changes

Claridge reserves the right to modify materials, components, or designs, and to discontinue models, options, or parts at any time without prior notice. All prices are subject to change without notice.

Quotes

Prices are valid for 90 days and apply only to the quantities specified in the quote request, unless otherwise stated. All pricing is provided in U.S. Dollars. Additional fees may apply for any special requirements not included in the original quote request.

Change Orders

Claridge reserves the right to apply additional charges to the invoice for orders revised after manufacturing has begun. All changes must be made in writing.

Terms

For customers with approved credit, all merchandise will be invoiced upon shipment under standard net‑30‑day terms. The Customer agrees that Claridge may assess interest charges of 1.5% per month on any invoice not paid within the stated terms. The Customer further acknowledges that Claridge may modify payment terms, suspend shipments, or decline new orders for any account that becomes delinquent.

Security

The Customer agrees that Claridge maintains a security interest in all merchandise sold to the Customer until all monies have been paid to Claridge for said merchandise.

Cancellation

All orders are considered firm and may be canceled only with Claridge’s written consent. Claridge reserves the right to apply a cancellation fee to any order canceled by the Customer.

Freight Policy

Claridge recommends photographing any product damage, packaging damage, or suspected concealed damage. All products must be inspected immediately upon receipt. While Claridge will make every effort to ship using the Customer’s preferred freight carrier, Claridge is not responsible for damage that occurs in transit when shipments are made via third‑party or collect freight. In cases of visible freight damage, the Consignee must document the damage on the freight bill and notify the carrier immediately to request an inspection. Damage reports must be submitted to Claridge within 5 days of delivery. Failure to report visible damage or loss within this period is the responsibility of the Consignee. Any concealed damage identified more than 5 business days after receipt is solely the Consignee’s responsibility.

Ship Dates & Delays

If Claridge is unable to ship products as scheduled due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (force majeure), the shipment date will be extended as necessary to account for the delay, as determined by Claridge.

Re-Delivery of Freight

Requests to change the shipping address must be submitted at least 14 calendar days before the estimated ship date. Address changes requested within 14 days of shipment, or after the order has shipped, require prior approval and may result in delays. Any additional costs associated with late address changes—including re‑delivery, rerouting, additional freight charges, storage, detention, re‑handling, or restocking—will be billed to the Customer. Original ship dates are not guaranteed once a late change request is made.

Storage

Orders will be shipped upon completion. If the Customer is unable or unwilling to accept delivery as scheduled, the merchandise may be redirected to a storage facility at the Customer’s expense or held at a Claridge facility for an additional fee.

Returns

Claridge products are made to order and are not eligible for return. Claridge reserves the right to refuse returns of any custom-made or specialty items. All approved returns must be prepaid by the Customer and may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%. Returned merchandise must be unused and properly packaged in its original shipping carton.
